Important Supplications Compiled by Shaykh Fayaz Tilly
"Supplication is the Essence of Worship" (Tirmidhi)Jump to:
Supplication has been called the essence of worship for two main reasons. Firstly by supplicating to Allah, a person fulfills his obligation of calling on Allah, which is understood from the verse “And your Lord says, ‘Call on Me, I will answer you (your prayer)’" (Quran 40:60) This is worship in its purest form. Second, by invoking Allah, one realizes that only He can fullfill one’s needs. The servant who calls upon his Lord abandons hope in everything else and turns his full attention to Allah, humbling himself in front of him. This is the essence of worship. Another desired result of worship is to attain reward from Allah. Because there is such a great reward in supplication, it has been called the essence of worship. (Provisions for the Seekers) In order to maximize and expedite the process of obtaining the blessings from these respective supplications, you may want to print these supplications and place them on the fridge, on your children's dressers, on a mirror near the entrance of the home, etc. We may also be able to practice and revise them every-time we enter our cars and also before going to bed. Remember to always try your best as quitters never win, while winners never quit. "None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone without associate, to Him belongs sovereignty and praise and He is over all things wholly capable. How perfect Allah is, and all praise is for Allah, and none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Allah is the greatest and there is no power nor might except with Allah, The Most High, The Supreme." ... and then supplicates: Rabbigh-fir lee "O my Lord forgive me." ... will be forgiven. Al-Waleed said, “or he (saw) said: ‘and then asks, he will be answered. If he then performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted’.” FOTM DUA'A 1.3: DUA'A WHEN WAKING UP #3 Alhamdu lillahil-lathee AAafanee fee jasadee waradda AAalayya roo hee wa-athina lee bithikrih.
